Plastering Gloucester House
Re-plaster of ground floor
Restoring Historic Plasterwork to a Victorian Terraced Property
A 1890s terraced townhouse in Newent required sensitive restoration of its ground floor finishes. The property had deteriorated plasterwork affecting the hall, landing and stairs, whilst the lounge needed appropriate dry lining installation. The challenge lay in maintaining the building’s period character whilst addressing modern performance requirements.
Professional Lime Plastering Application
Our team completed a comprehensive three-day programme, applying traditional lime rendering throughout the hall, landing an d staircase areas. This preserved the property’s authentic Victorian aesthetic and breathability. Complementary dry lining was installed in the lounge, providing improved thermal and acoustic performance without compromising the building’s heritage fabric. The result was a sympathetically restored interior that honoured the original construction whilst meeting contemporary living standards.
