A Diagnosis First, a Quote Second

A damp survey is not a sales visit. It is the part that determines whether you need a damp-proof course, a new gutter, better ventilation, or nothing at all. Getting it wrong is how people end up paying for a chemical treatment that was never going to work.

The survey is free and there is no obligation.

What happens

1. We look outside first Ground levels, the damp-proof course and anything bridging it, pointing, render, gutters, downpipes and drainage. A great many internal damp patches are explained entirely from outside the building.

2. Then inside Readings taken at depth rather than off the surface, the pattern and height of the damp, the condition of the plaster, timber in contact with damp masonry, and the ventilation and heating in the affected rooms.

The same team does the survey and the work.

3. You get a straight answer What is causing it, what needs doing, and what it will cost. Where the fix is not our work — a roofer, a drainage contractor, or simply clearing a flowerbed away from the wall — we will say so.

4. A written quote if you want one Scope, materials, and the guarantee that applies. No pressure and no time-limited discount.

Period, listed or solid-walled property?

Say so when you book. Those buildings need a breathable approach rather than a chemical one, and we will send someone accordingly — see damp in period and listed properties.
